The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight

A fairytale lost and forbidden,
A dream fading away,
As she waited and waited and waited.

Was no one ever coming?
To save her soul from drowning?
To pick her tears,
and wipe her face,
and kiss her lips,

only to say,
'I'm here with you',
'I"ll never leave you'
'Everything is gonna be okay'

A fleeting moment of silence,
A warm hug
and the simplest reassurance.

Even storms might appear,
however take my hand,
and let's stand together,
face it head on,
and save each other?

Let's put aside the wounds
and embrace one another.
Through thunder and storms,
Let me be the one,
please.

All she hoped,
Yet she knew no one was coming,
She just wanted to wait,
She just wanted to be there,
someone to fall back on,

so, she waited and waited and waited,
for some miracle to come her way.
