Once and Never Again
When reddened lips of the westward sun –
Sail along riverbed of clouds as dolphins do,
When colours rain and wash tempted outdoors,
My subconscious says,"How long will it last anew?"

When aroma of a diamond ring, the Luna is smelt ;
Oaks-palms-banyans hand over the voice to him,
The sun drowns down hills, wears furtive coat;
I recall an unheard call – that saturates my eyes in grim.

The park bench of nowhere, where I used to sit –
Waving back, a breeze combed my disordered hairs;
I viewed nightjars sharing words with dusk-driven stars,
But acquainted with them only once – got solitary stares !

Who knows, which millionth time the earth's staged this way, –
How many sweaty hours paused with lawn's yawn !
One day I'd be snapped in place of a celestial star;
Will I call up – how this, my only cosmic memory – was forgone?
