Destined
"Oh the spots are ugly!"
Or so this flower thought.
It tried to shake them hard,
but they didn't come off.
The other flowers swung around,
their colours bouncing in the sun,
but this one was different,
its uniqueness made it feel shunned.
Their were days of rain,
and those of sunshine.
They each endured the wind,
made the most of their time.
People loved the colours,
it was the garden of good.
What made this plant stand apart,
was diversity in solitude.
When the sun shone bright,
the petals wilted,
only the flower with the spots
remained high spirited.
They were made to endure,
the harshness of the noon,
while the others dried away,
this one was saved by the boon.
It was different for a reason,
destined to stand out,
for only it could survive the winter,
and still make its colours sprout.
