“Echoes of love: My lovelife journey”
I know this year didn’t start with you;
But in the middle of the year, I met you,
Little did I know, you became my reason,
To live and savour each moment and life with you.
I know you have suffered since a tender age,
So, I started weaving a world where it’s just us two,
To craft a haven without pain,
Where I aimed to bring you joy and solace.
A sanctuary where your pain could subside,
Where your joviality blossoms and the agony slides,
I aimed a pure happiness to provide.
Driven by a desire to make you smile and grace your face with the glow,
Unaware my own happiness would face a trial and will be low.
As the days passed;
Your love did not Everlast,
Your ignorance became a biting misery,
Unseen marks, but the pain, unbearable symphony.
Texts sent to know your whereabouts,
“No reply” poisoned my mind and stirred inner doubts.
The feeling of disconnection grew so distinct;
It led to the extent of pain and emotional instinct.
With each detachment’s tease;
Blaming only hormones, makes me feel like a disease.
Ran from home, seeking peace far and wide,
Yet, nothing helped, nowhere to hide.
I started laughing falsely with others;
Just because I was afraid of what to answer,
When questions are asked, my uncertainty will grow.
Your intermittent replies acted like a lifeline,
Keeping me alive, though not quite fine.
A bond was there, yet the essence was missing;
A connection’s absence, a void of reminiscing.
And then the silence of your heart...
