A Little Crack
I heard it
and it was loud;
A little crack in your voice,
where the love is leaking out.
Once, you wouldn't wait for tomorrow;
now gaps in time are filled with sorrow.
I sit alone, I think, alone,
I cry and you won't hear me,
Let alone be near me.
Even my mind has gone.
Talk to me, prove me wrong; just be with me all night long,
'Cause when all I hear is my own breath,
I cannot help but think of death,
to mute the silence
of loneliness.
