Yet it ignites me, makes me feel alive

I struggle to push memories away
To unravel, untangle, let them sway
In my mind, I've battled, I've tried
But within my heart, you still reside

Our moments were so rare, so few
I swear they were precious, it's true
Though you denied my timid plea

How can I expel you from my thoughts?
