The Past
The Past

Trapped in broken promises once again
Has her shaking to her bare naked skin
She’s been here a time or two
Lost in confusion on what's left to do
Never in life she dream to be here
Confined and restricted to this fear
In her mind there's Not one to care to be found
so she questions all those who come around
Searching desperately for a place to belong
Is the war she's been battling all along
To show weakness is forbidden
So she suppresses her emotions to keep them hidden
As she walks alone in this dark cold world
She's no longer that innocent ‘lil' girl
A heart that once was pure and sweet
Is now full of anger from others deceit
Her soul screaming through out the lonely night
Trying to decipher what's wrong and what’s right
Blood stain patterns of her guilt and shame
Is written in the hearts of those to blame
Look me in my dark brown eyes
You'll see the mask hiding my disguise
A past left to where one would resent
Has now become my lesson to the present
They say history is to make sure it don’t happen again
But this cant be true cause I'm living it again
