Summer Summer
Summer Summer come to me,
Summer Summer come and see.
The smile is plastered,
Teeth have gleam.
In this season pain is seen,
But we have strength to simply be.

Summer sunshine on my face,
Head is pounding in the game.
Eyes are closing from the shame,
And heart is praying for the rain.

Ringing quickly all the friends,
Keep me busy this weekend.
Have a drink, no time to think.
Am I breaking on the brink?

Breathe in deeply, super slow.
Meditate when I'm alone.
Count my blessings in the night.
And I stop thinking as I write.

Living free like London pigeons,
I am free and that's a given.
No instruction for my plan,
No more waiting for that man.

Off I go in my gear,
Chest on show for the fear.
No eye contact as I walk on,
To the bar to wait for my sun.

Shine on me through the dark,
We live together but miles apart.
Give me rest in my new sheets,
Give me summer, that summer heat.
