What I Know
Like the songbirds singing on the trees—
I've got a name, I've got a name.
Like a painting screaming out its poetry—
I've got a name, I've got a name.
Like a song undressing itself infront of me—
I've got a dream, I've got a dream.
Like we age with time but our love doesn't—
I've got a dream, I've got a dream.
Like dancing drunk to the melody of silence—
I've got a rhythm, I've got a rhythm.
Like the wind testing a cherry tree's patience—
I've got a rhythm, I've got a rhythm.
Like shaking the wings of our terrible youths—
I've got many sins, I've got many sins.
Like burning down the friends of a house—
I've got many sins, I've got many sins.
Like these insects that rapidly feast on me—
I've known hunger, I've known hunger.
Like a rainbow wanting to be on the streets—
I've known hunger, I've known hunger.
