Commoner

carpenter nailed on decussate timbers
a blasphemous liar
guarded with a couple of thieves
One found grace
the other mocked the veracity of the mace
a ring of thorns crawled into his head
blood streamed past his brows
hanging with arms wide open
before an ocean of 'saints'
'Who knew what they were doing'
an oblivious spear made way into his stomach
blood and water poured out
He breathed his last.
washed our filth of the past
the earth crumbled in shock
mourning a fellow rock
the moon and stars closed their eyes
a great darkness heaved upon the earth
the light had been put out
a son of he who sits up high
a roman officer retorted

blood that washed away the transgressions of men
save them killing a hen
teared in half the veil that hindered
fought and conquered death
Brought eternity from the tomb
a diety incarnate humble to reside in a human's womb
