She rises from the ashes,
Donning infinite avatars,
Sending the vile searching for cover,
While they still try to see the stars
They may not even remember
the ways they left her burning
They turned away, leaving her there
and still the world kept turning.
And to her flexing wings
the ashes still may cling
While she lifts her face
They all will hear her sing
In a thousand voices
Echoing from the past
Brought here by all their choices
Their own dice they have cast
Left in the cooling embers
There is nothing to forgive
She will not even feel the tremors
She has more lives to live
