InSight In Sea
Solemn whispers
Wind sifting through sand
Lightning strikes
As I reach for your hand

Pull me away
From the current's cold grip
Through no matter your efforts
Willingly I'll slip

Under crashing waves
A storm of sea
Salt water washing away
All thought of who I could be

Drowning, in a feeling of safety
The ocean lulling all notions to sleep
While waves fight wars protecting the weak
The deafening silence is welcome to creap

I am not ready to wake
I am a floating form just taking shape
I am a girl sinking under sorrow's weight
I am a creature transformed from terror's scape

I wait to rise, still not ready just yet
I rest in the deep waters
Whom guide me to reflect
On who I am, I was, or might be

The waters I will call home,
Until the waves teach me to be free
