Do not weep for me.
If I breathe my last breath to the green trees,
And all those I love proclaim a loud wail.
When my soul walks on a thousand blue seas,
Singing howdy howdy on its sweet sail.

I urge that you do not mourn for my soul,
for it flatters itself in the voyage.
Estranged from the body left in hot coal,
Bound to earthly corruption and wreckage.

Never should your eyes be drenched in tears,
Nor shall your heart be drowned in much grief,
For in its complexities, there is fear.
It is momentary, therefore be brief.

Do not cry over my grave and weep,
For I am not dead, I am just asleep.
