And there I was sitting under the tree,
Outlooking into the orange-blue sky,
Constructing our stories as the clouds flee,
Making my heart do it's own little sigh.

I know we were never meant to be,
And that there were things on which we would never agree,
Or that our paths were in different directions,
Leading us to live in a life full of objections.

You know it couldn't have been that hard,
With you and me,
You being the boss while I be your guard,
Where we address the fight without any need for an apology.

You looked into my eyes as in you could feel it too,
All the glitters running through you,
And it was in that moment that I knew,
You are person who could make me feel brand new.

Oh that smile you gave, with all your heart,
I wished we could have made a start;
With that smile that I've pictured and memorized thousand times,
I wish we could have shared some time.

It hurts to not have you,
But it hurts less when I know you are happy,
It gives my heart peace looking at the ensue,
Where in the end everyone's slaphappy.

And that's all that matters to me.
