The Closet Of Memories.
Come here,
sit alongside me,
I will open the closets of my memory.
Tucked inside them,
are the bits and pieces of the three decades
Of my journey.

You see these,
The fragments of my childhood,
Shimmering like a first smile,
The bruised knees, the fog and dust.
The drops of rain and flakes of snow.
You see that smile,
Ah! That's real.

And here are the scars and
The pain married to them
wrapped in the silk robe
Like an adorable couple.

Here, in the corner
is the handful of happiness;
Beautiful
delicate and fragile.
You see those teary smiles,
They are faux.

You see these,
scattered all over the place,
my constant companions,
my grief and sorrows.
They are
The bricks & Cement of my existence.

And these shining
pieces of my heart,
Don't decay,
they have all the untold stories,
engraved on them.

See this is me, far from what I appear,
I have locked myself
Inside this little space.
Tied delicately
in Silk and Velvet,
Like a precious treasure.

And all I am looking for
is someone who can see through me,
into this locked closet,
and rescue me.
