I've watched you as a little girl, playing with dolls and running outside with the boys.
The video games to you, much better than toys.
You used to dance and sing in a powered off TV set,
Deep down you always knew you were a star, although the extent you couldn't perceive yet.
You would write your songs and play your instruments,
You loved all forms of art, you just couldn't draw yet.
Your Easy Bake oven fostered you, an interest in cooking,
You'd often bake little cakes, when no one was looking.
Your imagination was your friend,
It comforted you most when you needed a friend.
Your heart was full of compassion, and held warm sentiments.
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times", but it had to end.
As a woman now, your story continues,
The love you have for others, still Heaven sent.
Your achievements are the evidence of the will and imagination of that little girl,
saying, "I think I can, I think I can",
