When Love's gone, but memories remain
#WritcoPoemPrompt103
In whispers of the past, their love will remain
Echoes of laughter, tears, and joyous refrains
Though flames of passion may dim out of light
Memories of their love will still shine with gentle light
In the hearts of their loved ones, their moments bloom
Forever preserved, like roses in perfume
The sweetness of their love, a fragrance that spreads across a room
A bittersweet reminder of their days of being a bride and a groom
Their love may die, but its essence stays
A lingering presence, in endless ways
In dreams, in shadows, in every tender place
Their memories alive, a bittersweet embrace
Though love may wither, its memories remain
A testament to what they once sustained
A love so strong, it transcends a mortal bound
Eternal memories, forever will resound
Nothing last forever, but their love cannot be forgotten
It's a precious memory that they're already leaving
A beacon of affection that guided their own heart
And never broke the promise of "till death do us part"
Sometimes I'd wish I'll have the same
So I don't care about the story of Romeo and Juliet
But love the story of when love's gone, and memories remain
