London, the bustling metropolis, is a muse for many a writer, not least those of us who have been so fortunate to grow up here. The sights, the sounds and the vibrant energy of the city never fail to thrill us, and invite us to explore life’s many possibilities. In the following poem, I want to explore this energy and atmosphere of London, while also touching on the culture and lifestyle at hand, and how wonderful it has been to step through childhood and my teenage years here.

Descend upon this hallowed city, which brims with life and marvels.
Be greeted by its ephemeral beauty, in this bustling modern sprawl.
