This life comes with it so much not knowing.
Don’t know where I’m headed yet I keep going.

There’s so much to become with so little time.
Discoveries to be made, and mountains to be climbed.

There’s meals to be shared, and jokes to be spoken.
There’s sleepless nights ahead, and early mornings to be woken.

There’s lessons to be learned, and there’s trust to be broken.
There’s friendships to be mended, there’s words to be left unspoken.

There’s emotions to be felt, and then … there’s love.
I’m still searching for the unknowns, and for answers up above.

There’s walls to be built up and bridges to be burned.
There’s value to be made, and credit to be earned.

There’s people who will come, and people who will go.
There’s times to say goodbye. And times to say hello.

Some people stay much longer than others.
We can’t ever know for certain which sister or brother.

A planet of lives with opinions that are differed.
Six billion minds is a lot of thoughts to be considered.

We don’t know what tomorrow brings, but with it a new day.
A new day to live our lives, and we can choose our way.

How can I be ready, for what lies ahead?
And how can I really know if I’m misled?

Maybe I don’t need to know, because I’m ready as I’ll ever be.
Maybe it’s supposed to be this way, and it’s all up to me.
