A shadow creeps, a presence near
My heart races, my soul does fear
The darkness twists, a living thing
My nightmare's grasp, my heart keeps singing

A maze of terror, I'm lost and alone
The darkness whispers, "You are not home"
I search for escape, a glimmer of light
But the shadows hold tight, through the endless night

My mind awakes, gasping for air
The nightmare's grip, still lingering there
A memory of fear, forever etched in my brain
A reminder of the terror, the darkness can obtain

But I rise above, I shine my light
The nightmare's power, begins to lose its might
I face my fears, I stand tall and strong
And the darkness fades, where love and hope belong.
