Leave the Woman be
#WritcoPoemPrompt19
Etch not unto her pliant flesh,
Cruel marks of your monstrous desire,
She bears your atrocities,
With silent rage,
Waiting to unleash her wrath...
Do not close your eyes to her
Attempting to disown your sin
As she holds silent justice
Growing beneath her skin
Your lust shows impatience
But she will wait nine months
Your sin will become her prize
Your decision becomes her child
Your lack of heart will fill hers up
And forever you both know
Your punishment is her reward
Her hatred of you can only be balanced
By the love of your child you never knew
So leave the woman in peace
Lest you lose a piece of yourself
