The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors,
The slightest cough from a loved oñe
Made us anxious if it was the dreaded virus!
Social distancing became the norm
Transport facilities totally out of form
Weddings postponed as gatherings were banned
A few weddings happened with just the bride, groom and their parents!
Will I be part of my cousin's wedding scheduled in two weeks?
When will I meet my brother, working in another state?
When will he meet his kids with this virus in full spate?
Every newspaper and media channel screaming about the toll
This did appear to be the beginning of the end of the world!
