Its sad how fast ones life can end without even a second thought
Can u imagin getting a call explaining your child husband or brother just got shot
One never knows what tomorrow has in store
Sometimes were faced with obstacles we can't ignore
We use the survival tactics that we've been taught from a young age
Not everyones taught the same some of us been schooled by adults who've spent years locked in a cage
Lets just say we're all just product's of our environment if u will
Sometimes we're the only ones they depend on to provide a meal
We do whatevers quick n effective some rob some steal
But we gon risk to gain n thats real
If our family is in need we will provide by all means necessary
Sometimes thats just a burden we're forced to carry
Bottom line is we have good intentions an a whole lotta pride
If we get yanked in the process at least we tried
A victim of circumstance since day one
Thats the unfortunate burden that was passed down to my son
His name alone holds an enormous amount of weight
Sadly its what society has used to decide his fate
I just pray my son breaks the cycle enough is enough
He needs to pave the way for my grandson so his life isnt rough
I believe in my son he has the ability to change the game
While still proudly representing his name
