WE ARE NOT FOOLS
In the markets and farms we heard the shout
Another master has come
We leave our baskets and hoes in our farms
Farms you ask us to toil
With sweat and blood enough to soak a metal foil
But to your place. we come
Walking through broken roads that reflects our hearts
A heart that has been filled with sugar coated promises
Promises with enough sugar to leave us with Diabetes
We passed through streets filled with broken homes
Greeting neighbors whose eyes are pools of stolen hopes
But still we come
Hoping today might be the day
Where you recover from your self induced amnesia
We smile to our daughters' faces
Because we are on a mission
A mission to at your famous Mansion
On our way we notice the change
Ahead is the colours of a new flag raised
We pick up our pace and set a race
Running through streets whose beauty we can't comprehend
Our dim eyes suddenly glows
Shinning with light to rival the sun
But...
