Life Anew
Words cut deep, blades to the throat.
Pierce the veil and come undone.
Tossed in the river, bodies afloat,
Never again shall we see the setting sun.

Time for mourning now done with hast
for solace comes to take the place.
Hands lift you up by the waist,
A gentle kiss laid upon your face.

Taken up by those who bring comfort,
Find in it the peace you seek.
A blinding light, eyes you must avert.
Light for a body, old and weak.

Life comes anew, brings with it joy.
A chance for rebirth, a world to enjoy.
