As I sit in my favorite red chair, I stare out the opened blinds into the forest.

Beyond those leaves is a creek I won't see until winter, but 'til then, the fullness of the trees blocking my view will do...

The air is cooler, the leaves are beginning to fall.
These simple things make me happiest of all!

Life turned out so unexpectedly (in many ways)...
Not like I'd imagined, at all!

After surviving a health scare and hiding from the world when my body went bare...

I lost the one I loved the most.
Soon I'd be faced to continue healing on my own.

I suppose the lesson for me was to believe in...well...ME!

Excruciatingly and begrudgingly, I let go of a butterfly as it molted & transformed and was eager to flee.

Betrayed heart so...
