Silence, or pain is it,
When the curtains closed
The wall it now creates between us
The stage that once was ours
Where our lives was but a lonely show

Now the world isn't ours
The silence, or pain is it
That comes with a broken heart
The wrinkles on these faces that once smiled
Wrinkles now on these hearts, mared and tired

It's not the silence,
But the pain it brings
The empty cheers on a stage once ours
The loneliness we now share as you sit yonder
Beneath the curtains, away as far.
