The smile on my face is real,
It bears witness to how I feel...
If I cry those ain't crocodile tears,
Cause emotions are just so hard to conceal.
And I may be laughing a lot
Cause I fear for what may arise.
Because when my anger starts to boil,
My rage doesn't compromise.
I fear that I may scare you...
But to myself, I'm scarier.
I have company surrounded by me,
But in reality nobody's near.
Life ain't a stupid masquerade party
That we're all wearing masks.
But it's a vast immortal existence
where exists unfinished tasks.
You're grateful you smile.
You're happy then let the world know.
And tears are what makes you humane
By stopping them, you're feeding your pain more.
We all need to sober up ourselves
And finish this trend of fake smiles.
It's you, and you know that...
So nothing changes if you hide emotions for a while.
