When I saw
The ornament
Slip off the branch
Of the Christmas tree,
I reached out
To grab it,
But part of me
Already knew
It would be
No use.
And as it
Broke apart
Into shards,
I hoped that the
Memories from
The decor would stay,
Even though
The ornament
Wouldn't.
The world will
Always have memories,
Even when it
Breaks apart
Into shards.
