Poem I wrote a couple of years ago.
when I was starting to rebuild my life after terrible addiction and mental health issues.

It was inspired by the phrase ‘The pen is mightier than the sword’ by novelist / playwrite Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

It is all about how words, art and creativity have the power to change not only ourselves but the entire world.

Transferrence!

As ink flows to paper,
As rivers flow to sea’s.
A person and their pen,
Can forge a million dreams.

Turn villains into heroes,
Turn princes into thieves.
When ink transfers to paper,
The tides, they change, it seems.

Energy comes, energy goes,
Once in the pen, the motion it
flows.
From mind to paper, from paper
to mind,
The good and the bad,
The dreams of mankind.
