How long will we stay in silence?
Straight down the hall,
I can hear her bawl.
So much of this she has taken.
Her children screams,
to see her bleed.
And the whole neighbourhood is awaken.

Will someone save her today?
Or would they all stay away?
We can make a stand against this violence.
Yet we turn our faces,
Ignore her pain,
And we all just sit in silence.
