Art exploits expression; Especially women.
Have you ever considered that art is an exploitation of another persons expression? Especially if that person did not consent to being their muse? Women often are put into that frame; Then are given a small percentage of the credit; Thats if it is personally identifiable any way. How many men have stolen a woman’s expression and changed it to suit their own? A lot of what the patriarchy envy about women is their expression; With themselves and with other women. Expression is not just how a person speaks. A human being expresses themselves in everything they do; How they glance, the way they dress, their smile, words, thoughts, body language, perception, and what it is they love about themselves; What it is they love about other women and other people and animals and the world around them. Their empathy, kindness, love and how they express this. Women have a right to express themselves how they choose without being exploited; That includes being the artist of their own expression; However they want to express that. Women are not born to be muses.
