The hound's teeth tear, relentless spite,
I restrain my rage, a brutal fight.
On knees, I confront a shattered soul,
Tears flow freely, yet I find control.
With a grin stretched wide, though broken inside,
I soothe the beast, my fears belied.
A treat, a leash, we walk by the pier,
Together we conquer, dispelling fear.
Darkness lurks, its whispers near,
But in my presence, it finds no cheer.
Clouds part, clarity breaks through the haze,
In my embrace, the shadows blaze.
