Certainly, I don't own the night.
I don't own a star or two,
Not even an inch of the night sky,
Especially not, of the moon.

But it captures my eyes tonight,
It feels mine, it feels surreal but not quite.
My eyes fixed on the stars shining bright,
As the moonlight touches my skin, I felt alive.

A moonlit night is ever not mine,
I had long accepted that I will never own one.
The vast sky will stay up until the day and eternity of nights.
It is never mine, but it clutches on my short life as I belong.
