Empty streets
I'm a streetlight lamp
Broken and dampened as rain pours,
Cold frosts numb my steel
The moths find warmth in my illuminiscence
But as soon as someone stares too long ,
Sits too close , I burn them
I burst in flames uncontrollably
Fire circuits
Electricity gone
I beg you, leave before my light becomes a burden to you
Before we end up in a tragedy no one predicted
I put caution labels
But people still like to push my boundaries
I'm a street lamp
A lonesome marvel of human technology
My head bowed down,
There are many other like me...
