Assuming I had a love.
From the periphery, fear grips my heart,
where the future is uncertain, and shadows play their part.
If money slips away and health starts to fade,
can we love through the sorrow that the darkness has made?
From the center, a voice rings out strong and clear,
love is a beacon that will always be near.
Money is an illusion; it doesn't define,
if in our struggles, we find how to shine.
From the periphery, anxiety pulls at my soul,
fearing that in our battles, we'll lose all control.
If sadness finds us in the depths of the night,
how can we stay close without losing the light?
From the center, I hear love is a bond,
stronger than fear, of which we are fond.
The trials we face are steps in our dance,
and in acceptance, we give love a chance.
From the periphery, I long for a bright dawn,
where every soft whisper brings hope to go on.
The fear of our fights echoes loud in the dark,
but in honest connection, love always leaves a mark.
From the center, we know together we're brave,
that love grows like flowers, through storms we can save.
If we embrace our past, with all of its scars,
we’ll be invincible, reaching for stars.
So from the periphery, I choose love today,
even when life tries to take joy away.
And from the center, the promise is clear,
if we both want it, love will persevere.
Thus, in our struggles, in risk and in song,
we'll be strong together, where we both belong.
From the center and periphery, we’ll shine ever bright,
in the dance of our journey, love will be our light.
