Yes we used to love,
we used to care for those we had,
but that was long before us,
that was long before we were born,
that was when we still had hearts,

but now it's different,
now we love with words and not hearts
we are judged by what we earn not who we are,
we are mocked at the verge of depression instead of being helped,
we are betrayed by the ones we trust the most,

but still I'm hopeful,
I am still holding onto faith,
that a day will come,
when we'll go back to what we were
when we'll live as one once again
when we'll put the differences aside
and accept each other as we are.
