Call me a bitch, I'm a dog.
Sitting in the corner not knowing right from wrong.
Waiting for my master to pat my head.
Wagging my tail when he says "come" instead.
Always doing whatever I'm told, staying by his side till broken and old, hoping I don't get scold.

Even with an open gate, I STAY!
Maybe he'll scratch my belly, if I don't run away.
Is that a treat in his hand? I don't understand. His fists are balled up.
"You're a good girl!" I wish to hear.
But I fear
He's got other unkind, things in mind.
Keeping quiet so he don't yell "shut-up!"
I'm stuck.
I love him, he's my best-friend.
I'll pretend,
He loves me too.
