hate & love
She let go of all who caused her pain,
The ones not meant for her to remain,
Those who wished for her to leave,
She freed them all, found her reprieve.

With a heavy heart, she didn’t look back,
Though the hurt inside continued to stack.
She learned to forget rather than forgive,
To walk away, let live, and live.

But now she stands, with a shattered face,
Facing her reflection in a broken place.
The one who hurt her and the most,
Was herself, the root and cause.

She tore her world, her heart apart,
And left her soul in pieces,
How does one let go of oneself?
Her own mind, her worst enemy.

She's destroyed so much—how to free
The guilt her heart has long employed?
Forgetting’s not an option,
But neither can let go,
The scars are etched, the damage set.

Yet, within this aching fight,
Maybe she can learn to win a lost fight.
