Late-night train
Winter wind from the north starting to blow,
streets turned white as covered with snow,
children riding their sleigh begins to row,
buses and cars on road were passing slow.
Late at night, I waited for the subway train,
Alone, I stood in the side of the lane,
starring at the time reflects on a pane,
winds getting colder with snowing rain.
Suddenly, rushing toes were coming near,
For a moment the subway filled with fear.
"Did I miss the train?", is what next to hear,
eyes were led to the smile full of cheer.
"No, I'm also waiting" is all I said,
thee threw a sweet glare with a nodding head.
You said, "trains were stuck with snows widespread"
jesting I replied, "we need a sled";
Thee gave me a coffee with pleasing glare,
"To stay warm for the cold we need to bear".
The cold wind turned into a blissful air,
we talked about life on a subway's chair.
We're both strangers crossed on this subway.
Yet, we said things to cronies we can't say,
I can wait until the break of the day,
as long as this stranger will stay.
But the train came with a screeching sound
and it seemingly planting our bound.
Questions are starting to come around,
"Will I stay with thee where happiness is found?"
In the north part of the train, thee saved thy space,
And to the south step is where I pace.
For the last time, I looked at your face,
on this subway strangers found their place.
