HER
A liquid which once thrown at a woman can destroy her life;
After being subjected to domestic violence, the wounded heart of a wife;
A girl in her teenage, for walking into a party late at night, being raped;
To protect their rights and support them in their hard times, our society has miserably failed;
What is wrong if she wears skimpy clothes?
Every short skirt, this society loathes;
Calling the cause of raping her as provocation;
Oblivious of the rapist's monstrously mind and their dogmatic thinking's amalgamation;
What is wrong if she goes out at night ;
Let me bring this into limelight;
That now rapists don't stay put even in broad daylight;
But you always ask her to conceal the matter, never teaching her how to fight;
No girl has ever prevented a rape by wearing a longer skirt;
What do you think, she has lost her ability to hurt?
Calling your head a provocation, she too can smack your head ;
To have you abuse her physically and mentally, she didn't get married;
You teach your daughters not to leave the house at night;
But have you ever taught your sons to respect a girl's right?
Asking your daughters to stay away from their male counterparts is all you know,
But have you ever taught your sons that when a girl says no, it means NO?
