Pastors Saying Goodbye by R. M. Ragnanese
Sometimes many times pastoring can be so discouraging these days.
To the very point that so many of my brethren have quit and given up.
Not because these men wanted praise for what they were expected to do.
They are discourage because in so many churches that Christians do faithfully attend.
These Christians strongly feel that their only obligation to the Lord is using their butt to warm the seat up.
Unfortunately, if seat warming in Church was a great calling from the Almighty.
I am afraid the overwhelming majority of so called Christians are miserable failing at this very simple task.
Being faithful and committed is not very high on the list of priorities of most Christians these days.
Instead way too many of our brothers and sisters feel the urge to prove to their friends outside of the church how worldly they can be.
To the point that their friends who are not Christans find their belief in Jesus either laughable or a colossal waste of time.
If that isn't bad enough too many brothers and sisters are absorbed with the notion of confusing selfish Ambition and greed with being blessed by God.
The blessing is not in loading up our treasure chest, but being used by God to be a blessing to others.
This is not what Christians want to hear or what they been taught to believe.
Instead brothers and sisters eagerly wait to be served and eat the good of the land.
Being offended and insulted when they are challenged to be faithful, committed and ask to serve the Lord.
Such things are abominable to the very thinking of most Christians these days.
And we wonder why so many churches are closing and so many pastors are leaving the work of God ?
