Empty World
In apathetic stupor, I gaze
Upon a world that's lost its blaze
The beauty that once did enthral
Now but a memory, a tale

The world once a canvas, vibrant and hued
Now but a monochrome, dreary and crude
The promise of tomorrow, now but a dream
My heart a void, my spirit a stream

The hustle and bustle, now but a din
The laughter and joy, now but a grin
The world once a symphony, now but a drone
My interest in it, forever gone

The fire that once burned, now but a spark
My passion for life, now but a mark
I stand aloof, an observer of fate
As the world spins on, indifferent to my state.
