Outside it's misty and chilly
and the cold stings sharply
snow falls continuously
as I stare unblinkingly
but I see beyond clearly
ah! there's my lily
the snow ceases suddenly
warmth descends evenly
there it stands proudly
its petals uncurling brightly
as it sways beautifully
I stretch towards it happily
but I hold nothing unfortunately
oh! something piercing coldly
that it brings the reality sadly
it's all cold, all snow, all dark gloomily
but a day is coming surely
That'll cradle my lily soothingly
