The boy within me keeps me up at night,
He claws, kicks and screams,
Lights fires to destroy us
I grab the bottle to drown him,
Fill my lungs to suffocate him,
Flood my veins to oust him,
He quites only for a while,
Only to wake louder and more vicious,
Releasing what we hide in the vaults
Chanting songs of rage, pain, neglect and regret!
