Under a moonlit sky,
my loneliness I do decry.
My sheltered heart I carry now,
as two lovers then we said goodbye.
I guard against a love untrue,
with my heart so sad and blue,
in a lonely walk beneath the stars
I search for love anew.
With sadness we then said goodbye,
I pondered so the reason why,
within a dark and dreary night,
under a moonlit sky.
