You sat with me under the shade of the trees,
Reading out the words that made no sense,
Not once did you lose faith,
Or let me be,
The slow and steady learner,
The butt of all the jokes,
Duffer! Failure! And more...

You reprimanded me for every self-reproach,
Guiding me through the path no one has shown me before,
Everytime I thought I got lost,
You were always there,
at the end of the tunnel,
Shining so brightly, yet so quietly

I found the vulnerable you now, though.
Others said my star's light is dimming off
But I think the light just selflessly went to me instead
You told me before that every thing has an end.
I refused to believe but as the clock ticking,
now all I want is to send you off to the path where all stars deserve to go.
A better place where you can shine brighter selfishly.
