Trailer parks and broken men
Tortured families, slaughtered, damned
Bodies fished out of the river
Washed up on the lakeshore dead
The killers at the bar next door
The kids with guns who settled scores
Churches burned, and meth labs grown
I grew up where it all was known
In the woods where noone goes
Beyond the fields, beneath the hills
The rifles that they pointed at us
Fill my soul with heartless kills
Inhuman acts of vengeance
Just to make up for a life of dread
My mother cried, my father gone
Lessons learned from those who bled
Staring down the barrels of those guns
Crossing trees and yard
The helicopters in the sky with no insignia
Bullets guard
I will find my peace in life
And live to fight for those survived
I know the training I was given
Isn't what you see in me
But know it's there, forever free
You're safe as long as you're with me
