HEART OF GOLD
When Ruddy got to where Jacy was,
she was a bit frightened.
However, she summoned courage and said,
“I ….. uh …. I am Ruddy,"
“I know you. Please help me," Jacy pleaded.
“You do, well that’s ... uh ... unexpected," Ruddy said while looking at the snare.
“So this is made with ropes?
I am going to bite on it until it gets loose,
and I will need you to be still.
Because, it will definitely take some time
to get it off," she said smiling to Jacy.
"Okay," said Jacy. "I will try to be."
After about an hour, Ruddy was finally
able to cut loose the rope.
She looked up so tiredly at Jacy,
smiling at her.
Jacy smiled smiled back, raising
her wounded paw to her face and said
“You saved me, thank you”.


Ruddy chuckled, reaching out to her saying
“Let's get this cleaned.
We wouldn’t want this to get infected,"
She took Jacy to her house, cleaning and dressing the wound.
She also brought some cheese for Jacy to eat.
"Thank you," Jacy said drowsily, sleeping immediately after eating the cheese. Looking at Jacy, Ruddy smiled endlessly.
“I am so glad I could help! I know you are in a lot of pain; but it is really nice to finally meet you!” Ruddy whispered. She slept immediately too, because she also was tired.
And, only then could Buddy come out
from his hiding place.
He looked at Ruddy sleeping close to the Jacy.
Covering her with a blanket he murmured
“I hope one day you will not get us into trouble with this heart of yours!"
