RUNWAY - WAY
I - RUNWAY
There was a new day in any other day.
And like going a hundred miles ahead of the next day,
the spirit of eagerness runs through each day to make it one day
The songs from the attorneys made our entire days.
We called ourselves a she - heroes in every presentation we made,
we had no lipsticks, heels, with no shape of a feminine and no aid.
With a simple title in our heart and mind we became self made.
To prove and to show who we were we slept on the ways of many.
Not to block their path but to appear as
many times as we can, just to be recognize
Our elders said; to say yes master – yes master is an immune booster.
So we woke up from our face me face you compound
and in every second we dream to prepare.
We saw many who weren’t ready
but were given the chance.
We tried, we proved, we showed, we pushed and we had a step ahead
There was no one single secret to achievement
but there were thousands of unique formulas for each day and time.
Like models from the scratch, we stitched our everyday glitches.
Like 360 degrees we took photos of every pose we made on the way.
Tweets of trolling, mocking and few hallelujahs made us trend.
Yes! We felt alone but we didn’t lose ourselves for anything
We never forget what we want and how we want it.
We never did – We never did.
II – THE WAY
In the midst of all these colours, patterns and styles
We believe in ourselves more, we work in reserve
And one attitude that pushes us on is
When our colleagues ask if we deserve
Now, we have understood our styles and attitudes
And we know when it pays
And we know when it too much
The runway is the perfect place for our career; believe!
The runway is our tool of courage and boldness; process!
This is how we wanna live on a way that carries
men and women, whites and blacks, social protocols and group affiliations
This is how we wanna live on a way that displays beauty and ideas
But are prone to negative critics and lure with favourites
“Fight a good fight with all thy might” the bible says,
The human mind is entangled with fear
And the assumption of failure and not the ways
Look closely the runway has an extended Way!
